The Freeling Recreational park is the sporting hub of Freeling and home to the Red Legs football and netball teams. The park enjoys excellent country town facilities including a
playground, new skate park, netball and tennis courts, oval and associated training facilities. Clubrooms are available for hire for functions.

The facility is a 53 bed complex with 49 single rooms and 2 twin rooms providing residential care accommodation for aged people who have been assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team as needing high or low level residential or respite care. Wheatfields received a $11.3m grant in 2021 to extensively renovate the living spaces for existing residents as well as adding a further 7 beds.

Constructed in 1999 to manage stormwater from the township, the Freeling wetlands harvest stormwater for reuse on the nearby township ovals, parks and reserves. Adjacent the recreation park, this area is a serene space for meditation and relaxation amongst the reeds and local birdlife.

Constructed in 2019, the Freeling Agriculture Recreation and Multi-use (FARM) Centre features a main trades and sports hall with two basketball courts and ample run off areas. Training and meeting rooms for agricultural extension and community use are available. The 24/7 health club with two large change rooms for male and female sport provide fitness options, with a cafe, kitchen, canteen and parents room catering to customer needs. The health club has the latest in cardio and weights equipment, 24/7 access and programs for everyone – from teens to older adults and everything in between.
